I lay down and slept;
I awoke again, for the Lord sustained me.
What greater truth is there. How we take this for granted. I am sustained for the Lord willed it to be so and if He continues, I am sustained and when He doesn’t, I will cease to exist. To date, He has sustained me 13840 consecutive days, give or take a few.
another thought… I require sleep. The Lord never sleeps (Psalm 121:4).
I only awake because He willed it. I breathe because He willed it. I am amazed that I have not been snuffed out. so much death and pain in this world and my thoughts and worries are so minimal compared to that which others face daily. How blessed I am and favored, but not because of me, but because of His grace. May I live such that I would not waste that which has been given me, that which has been bought at a great price.
